Welcome to the Career Quiver Blog

Why another job search blog?

There are thousands of articles about resume writing, interview prep, and job searching. Most of them say the same things: "use action verbs," "tailor your resume," "network more." The advice isn't wrong, exactly. It's just not specific enough to help anyone actually do anything differently.

We started this blog because we kept running into the same problem. Job seekers are smart, experienced, and perfectly qualified for the roles they're targeting. They're still not getting callbacks. And the advice available to them reads like it was written by someone who hasn't applied for a job since 2012.

So we're building something different: a resource based on how hiring actually works in 2026 -- from the software that screens your resume to the recruiter who spends a few seconds deciding whether to keep reading.

What we'll cover

Every article here is built around a simple question: will this help someone get an interview they wouldn't have gotten otherwise? If the answer is no, we won't publish it.

Here's what you can expect:

  • Resume writing that works -- not vague tips, but specific techniques for writing bullets, structuring sections, and formatting for the software that reads your resume before any human does.
  • ATS and hiring software -- plain-English explanations of what these systems do, how they filter candidates, and what you can do about it. We'll cover specific platforms like Workday, Greenhouse, Taleo, and Lever.
  • Career transitions -- how to position yourself when your experience doesn't fit neatly into a job description. Most people change careers at least once. The resume advice for that situation is different.
  • Interview prep -- frameworks for answering common questions, plus strategies for the parts of interviews that nobody talks about, like what to do when you don't know the answer.
  • Job search strategy -- the mechanics of applying, following up, and managing a search without burning out.

About Career Quiver

Career Quiver is a job search toolkit that reads job postings, detects the hiring software a company uses, and generates a finished, tailored resume -- not a score, not suggestions, a complete document ready to submit. We built it because the gap between "you should tailor your resume" and actually doing it for every application is enormous.

This blog is one part of that mission. Whether or not you ever use the product, the advice here should stand on its own.

What to expect

New articles publish regularly. Every piece is practical, specific, and written for people who are actively searching. No filler, no fluff, no "top 10 tips" lists that could have been written by anyone.

If you have a question about resumes, hiring software, or job searching that you can't find a good answer to -- that's exactly the kind of thing we want to write about.

Stop guessing. Start getting callbacks.

Career Quiver reads job postings, detects the hiring software, and generates a tailored resume that gets through. Start free today.
